I literally just heard The Train Whistle sound as the Title took it’s place on this Devotion Today. So, Sounding the call of God’s Love, I share this with you today! I was listening to the Bible read to us over breakfast this morning and I heard the writer of God’s Word say, he is writing to ____.
1 John 2:13-15 New Living Translation (NLT)
13 I am writing to you who are mature in the faith[a]
because you know Christ, who existed from the beginning.
I am writing to you who are young in the faith
because you have won your battle with the evil one.
14 I have written to you who are God’s children
because you know the Father.
I have written to you who are mature in the faith
because you know Christ, who existed from the beginning.
I have written to you who are young in the faith
because you are strong.
God’s word lives in your hearts,
and you have won your battle with the evil one.
Do Not Love This World
15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.
For, There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time.

Have you thought about the value of God’s Word to you?
Today, I am so excited to listen to God’s Word translate itself to me!
The Word is Christ! And Christ has been since the very beginning!
Before we dive into the Verse of Today, I found this fascinating & amazing! I am amazed when I see or learn what God Does * and how God reveals Christ’s glory!
Check this out!!! It is written,
This salvation was something EVEN the prophets wanted to know MORE about when they prophesied about this gracious salvation prepared for you. They wondered what time or situation The Spirit of Christ WITHIN THEM was talking about WHEN HE told them IN ADVANCE ABOUT Christ’s suffering AND his great glory afterward.
1 Peter 1:10-11 NLT
With our believing enhanced, this same WORD (Christ) advises us “to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against your very souls”
*OUR SOUL IS *OUR mind, *OUR will & *OUR emotions!
Soak this in…Now, Christ says, PREPARE YOUR your minds for action AND EXERCISE self-control.
Christ is the (Mind of God), & when we receive this, we have the choice & ability to choose the harder choice.
So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. BUT NOW you MUST be holy in everything you do, JUST as God who chose you is holy. For the Scriptures say, “You MUST be holy BECAUSE I am holy.”
1 Peter 1:14-16 NLT
1 Timothy 2:5-6 NLT
Through every personal test & trial, we, you and I, can honor God, by Following Christ! Thou it appears as a mountain to our human nature, our faith can make a difference to all situations, by excising self control (Fruit of the Spirit) with our sole purpose to honor God by showing Christ’s LOVE; God’s Way.
JESUS IS THE … ___, ____, ____.
“AM I” following Christ?
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 New International Version (NIV)
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. *** But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
HOLY MEANS TO BE SET APART!
What did Christ Jesus set us apart from?
*Death (spiritual separation from God) to LIFE!
*Consequences (curses from sin) to BLESSED!
Bury the sin & leave it buried; there is only one Christ Jesus for forgiveness of sins … Once you know, Don’t try to resurrect Jesus again, because He can’t die again.
Repentance means to TURN AND sin no more TO walk with God through the help of the Holy Spirit of God!
AND through YOUR faith, GOD IS protecting you BY HIS power UNTIL you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see. So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, EVEN THOUGH you MUST endure many trials FOR a LITTLE WHILE.
1 Peter 1:5-6 NLT
WITH THE VERSE OF TODAY. God’s good advise ~
So GET RID OF all evil behavior. BE DONE WITH all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech. LIKE newborn babies, you MUST crave pure spiritual milk SO THAT you will GROW INTO a full experience of salvation. CRY OUT FOR THIS nourishment, NOW THAT you have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness.
1 Peter 2:1-3 NLT

I love how God’s Word always directs us to HIM! Like a literal invitation with almost & perhaps every word!
CRY OUT FOR THIS NOURISHMENT…God says ????
And to Believe that when God says you, He really means you & me.
It is not easy, but it is possible through Christ who strengthens us!
And, “He is the stone that makes people stumble, the rock that makes them fall.” They stumble because they do not obey God’s word, and so they meet the fate that was planned for them. BUT YOU ARE NOT LIKE THAT, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.
