Another wonderful post from Connie Keyohara………
Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate. Luke 15:23-24
I believe this parable of the prodigal Son is more about the Father than the son. His son left home, squandered his inheritance on wild living, hit hard times then came back home. All the while his brother stayed home and did the right thing.
When the Prodigal returned home his Father ran down the driveway and met him with open arms. He had a banquet prepared in his honor and had a feast fit for a King
It’s a type and a shadow of what our Father in heaven does for us. When we leave him and squander all he’s given us, when we leave him and sew unrighteousness and mess everything up and then decide to come back home, He meets us where we’re at! He runs toward us with arms wide open.
No matter what we’ve done or how bad we’ve messed things up, He celebrates when we return.
Don’t let anything keep you from returning to your place of honor and your inheritance.
