So much division today that it is even in the Church.
We have to look at what is going on. As The Body of Christ, we are not to be divided. Jesus even said, “ By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:35 NKJV) If we want others to know Him, we need to show Love to each other.
Lord, we need to ask, “Where do wars and fights come from among us?” In Your Word, we see that they come from our desires for pleasure that war in our members. It is the desires of our flesh that brings us to this division. We lust and do not have, we want the what others have, even if You meant not for that to happen for us. We murder and covet and cannot obtain. We fight and war. Yet we do not have because we do not ask. And when we do ask and we do not receive, because we ask amiss. Our desires, instead of asking to be a benefit to others, is that we want to spend it on our pleasures. We have become adulterers and adulteresses towards You. We have desired friendship with the world, even though it is an enmity with God? We forget that whoever wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. We need to remember that the Scripture does not say in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”? But You give more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Make us humble Lord, the Way You would want us to be. In Jesus Name, Amen (Taken From James 4:1-6)
If we are to please God, we need to allow The Holy Spirit to set us apart. We need to pursue a sinless life. We are to seek Righteousness. How do we do it? Through prayer, study, fellowship, being willing to be corrected/accountability, discipleship, and service.
It starts with Our Relationship with Jesus. If you don’t have a Relationship with Him or you need to rekindle that Relationship, do it now. Call out to Him and seek his Love and Forgiveness. It really is as hard or easy as you make it.
We should look to Him daily to seek a relationship with Him. I want to encourage you to seek Him today, if you haven’t already. If you need help, have questions or need direction in this regard, please, feel free to let me know.
