KNOWING GOD’S WORD By Jeanne Theriault
Psalm 119:66 Teach me knowledge and good judgment for I believe in your commands…..
Knowing God’s word is the foundation and beginning of choosing faith over fear. Our knowledge of the Word of God can be a deciding factor in the strength or weakness of our faith. It is knowing what God’s word says that will give you the courage to stretch your faith in trusting him for the impossible. When you commit yourselves to obey God’s word with your actions, it will give you confidence when you are confronted with fear. The more you step out in faith in obedience to the word of God with a pure heart .The more your faith grows in the him and you are less afraid of the unknown …Look at Abraham he believed God and it was credited to him as righteous. Abraham put his faith into action when he offered his son Isaac on the alter..
James 2:22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together and his faith was made complete by what he did.
2 Corinthians 5:7 We walk by faith and not by sight
Walking by faith is believing when you don’t see it
Faith is visualizing the future in advance. The world says seeing is believing , God says believing is seeing
Hebrews 11:1 Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
James 2:17 In the same way faith by itself if it is not accompanied by action is dead.
Romans 1:17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith as it is written, the just shall live by faith.
1 Peter 1:7 These have come to that your faith of greater worth than gold which perishes even though refined by fire may be proved genuine and may result in praise glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. 8 Though you have not seen him you love him and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy! 9 for you are receiving the goal of your faith , the salvation of your souls.
Hebrews 10:22 Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith…23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess for he who promised is faithful!
