Inner Hurts And Outward Expressions…
Good morning beautiful people. I recently had an activity time with some youth. We spoke about words that hurt and cause people to bleed inside (inner hurts). Sometimes the expression on another persons face is from the results from words that were spoken. Many times it is easier to have the broken arm, the bruised body than to carry around the pain of inner hurts.
Today, we can bring the painful words, the hurts, even the scars left behind and be made whole again. It can change the expression on our faces. Let’s Pray:

Father, thank you a bruised reed you will not break, and a smoldering wick you will not snuff out. In faithfulness, you will bring forth justice. (Isaiah 42:3)
Father, thank you for the grace to forgive the words that were spoken that brought us pain. Thank you that today we can choose to forgive the people that brought the hurt. Ephesians 4:32 tells us to be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave us.
Father, please empower others to forgive us for when we have spoken words that brought pain to them intentionally or unintentionally. Nothing escapes your watchful eye and you hear every word spoken.
Father, help our words to be kind and gentle as proverbs 15:1 tells us; A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
Together, all this globe we release the power of forgiveness for inner hurts and we receive the healing balm of Gilead. Amen
