Thankfulness or Greed, You Get To Choose…

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. It is almost time for Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for. Even through some of our hardest times, we have much. Of all the wealth we could ever obtain, nothing compares to walking with Jesus.
Jesus allows us to make our own choices. We can become greedy people and never have enough or we can be content with what we have. When we are content children of God, we are willing to share what we have with others.
Someday everything we own will be passed down or sold. The years we had to enjoy our lives we realize have now flown by like a vapor. The selfishness of obtaining things really was meaningless. At the end of it all what will we be remembered for? What have we taught the ones we love the most?
God’s Word tells us to Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever. (Psalm 107:1)
I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. (Philippians 4:11) Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you for life, thank you for all the things you have allowed us to obtain. There is no good thing you withhold from your people. Everything we are, everything we own, everything we will ever receive, we give back to you. Help us not to hold on tightly to things that have no eternal value.
You tell us in everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. (1Thessalonians 5:18) We give you thanks for you have blessed our lives richly with the greatest gift we could ever have. Your son Jesus, Emmanuel, He is with us. Amen
