Pastor Richard Mansfield our Dear Friend and Mentor leads us in prayer for Christmas Day 2018………..
Heavenly Father on this Christmas Day we want to thank You so very much for the gift of Your love through Your Son Jesus Christ. We thank You for all that You have done for us as a people and as a nation. At Christmas we think of the hope, joy, peace and love that You bring we cry out on behalf of the United States and ask that You bestow these blessings over us. Bring order to our nation and its leaders. Calm the discord throughout our land. Help us all to claim Your Word over our lives and nation and spread “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”
Help us reclaim our nation as one under God and embrace each other in spite of our differences. We pray that we can experience the celebration of the promised Christ child with all we come in contact with. Be with the furloughed Government employees as well as those who are unemployed and provide their every need. Bring a settled agreement between our Senate and President concerning our Government shutdown. Be with our troops as they spend this Christmas away from their families and loved ones. Protect them and fill them with Your presence. We thank You Jesus for all these things and say Merry Christmas Jesus! In Your Holy name we pray, Amen!
Thank you Pastor Richard Mansfield of New Beginnings Church in Albuquerque and NM Prays. Merry Christmas to you and Cindy and your congregation!
From Kelly Snelgrove……….
Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
“Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
