Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a Son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders and he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Christ is the reason for Christmas.It is a time that God shows his love for us. Christmas is when we celebrate his birth . God sent his Son Jesus into the world to save us.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
It all started when an angle appeared to Mary and told her that she would give birth to a son. The Holy Spirit would come upon her and the Power of the Most High over shadow her, and that he would be called the Son of God. Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph and gave birth to her firstborn Son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger. There were shepherds living out in the fields watching over there flocks at night. An angle of the Lord appeared to them and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified, but the angle said do not be afraid I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people. For a Savior will be born to you, he is Christ the Lord. Then suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angle praising God saying Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.
Then the Shepherd went to Bethlehem to see this thing that has happened which the Lord has told them about. Then they found Mary and Joseph and the baby who was lying in a manger. When they saw him they spread the word concerning what had been told to them about this child. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. Then the shepherds returned glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen. (Luke 1:29) (Luke2:4-20)
The true meaning of Christmas is all about Christ. God sent his only Son to bring us salvation. Christ is the ultimate gift to the world.
He’s the Prince of Peace, Wonderful Counselor, Immanuel God is with us.
Lets look at Christmas in a new way this year as we get closer to Jesus. He is our Savior, our peace, our joy. Draw near to him and he will draw to you . Give your hearts to him today. He is the gift to the world, Our Savior
Thank you Lord for the gift you gave to the world that you sent your only Son that whoever believes in you shall not perish but have eternal life. This Christmas we celebrate your birth with great joy for Jesus is the reason for the season. Amen
