Love this story -with Rita Wassenaar-Dunkelberger I thank Rita for allowing us to post this God Story here at FGGAM. I know Rita, went to school with her and her brother Rudy and have gotten to know her amazing 93 year-old Dad, Jan, who is pictured above with Rita! We are all from Windom, Minnesota! May this story inspire you!

Brandon and the lost Christmas picture:
August 11, 2014: Brandon wanted to be a famous fisherman who helped others learn to fish through his video teachings. He had my camera and tripod out on the boat in our pond ready to shoot a lesson when one of the legs on the tripod slid down causing the camera and tripod to fall into the water. We went out there so many times every year looking for that camera. Brad even bought a metal detector and I borrowed my bosses underwater fish finder camera, but to no avail.
Fast forward to September 18th of this year when Brandon saw a picture come up on his phone through Snap Chat. One of his friends had posted a picture of my camera and tripod with the caption: “I caught a camera.” Brandon recognized it right away and quickly called his friend. He and another of our neighbor boys were out on a pontoon boat fishing for catfish in our backyard pond at 3:00 a.m. when the basic treble hook attached to his fishing pole hooked my camera!
I had spent 4 years praising God that He would bring it back to me. It wasn’t until I gave up completely and gave it all to God that He was able to work. I was sleeping while God was using those boys to bring it in!
I read that the camera’s memory card was shock, temp, and waterproof. Once I had it back I checked out the memory card and all the pictures and videos were perfect with no damage! They were as clear as can be as you can see in this year’s family picture – from 2014! I hope my story encourages you to believe in the miracle of our dear Lord and Savior’s birth as we celebrate Christmas this year.
This is the family picture from 2014 that came from the SIM card of my water soaked camera. What a blessing!
Wishing you and yours a Christmas full of peace, wonder, and joy♥️

Bonus Rita wrote this in October of 2018 about her Dad….

70 years ago today, my Dad emigrated to America from the Netherlands to farm; because he heard the U.S.A. was big, and that Americans were hard working people. So, with a song of faith in his heart, “the Lord will lead me, have no fear” he took one last look at his parents..with the thought that he was gone from his parents and may never see them again. Dad landed in Chicago, not knowing a word of English or knowing anyone. He learned our language, went to Agriculture school, started farming, and made a way . Thank you Dad, for blessing us with such a rich heritage♥️

I had a long visit with Jan back in 2016 at the Windom, Minnesota Revival! I learned so much from him about God and and history! Love this man of God!

From Kelly Snelgove…..

Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

“Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”

So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
