From Chuck Swindoll’s book, ‘David’: “It’s as if God says, “I don’t care about all the slick public image business. Show me a person who has the character, and I’ll give him all the image he needs. I don’t require some certain temperament, I don’t care if he has a lot of charisma, I don’t care about size, I don’t care about an impressive track record. I care about character! First, is the person deeply authentic in his or her spiritual walk or is he faking it? And second, is he or she a servant?”
There is way too much ‘slick public image’ going on in this world we live in, and also in the Church.
God is not a God of Chaos, Pray for America. Our government is in such chaos it cannot govern. This is not as Republican or Democrat problem it is an American problem, one we all created. We all are at fault. Too much hate, to much division.
Federal shutdown begins after lawmakers fail to reach deal
A partial federal shutdown took hold early Saturday after Democrats refused to meet President Donald Trump’s demands for $5 billion to start erecting his cherished Mexican border wall, a chaotic postscript for Republicans in the waning days of their two-year reign controlling government. I have said for years, Jesus is the answer not politics. This situation is only going to get worse until America repents and seeks the face of Jesus. Politics is destroying America. We are setting such an ugly example for our children and the world. The words of hate spoken, the lies spoken, are all catching up with America and eating at its soul. It stinks to high heaven. It is really concerning to me that people think that the hate they post on twitter and Facebook does any good to for God and his people. This does nothing but hurt God and His people. I am speechless sometimes at the words I read on social media, very concerning whether America can recover from such ugly.
