The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10
Does not wisdom call out? Does not understanding raise her voice? Proverbs 8:1
What is more dangerous than New Mexico politicians having lots of our money? Well, yes, we all can think of things that are more dangerous. My point here is that New Mexico politicians have so much money to ‘play’ with in the upcoming Legislative session. They are acting like little kids getting ready for Christmas. This is like watching a High School pep rally before the game.
The problem here is that I do not see many mature fiscally responsible folks. They all have pet projects. For me, it is embarrassing to watch these adults prepare for the upcoming session. I predict right now that not much good is going to come out of this session. There is going to be a push for some ugly legislation like legalizing marijuana. Drunk driving deaths continue to be out of control in the state and they are thinking of letting pot heads drive? They might want to talk to Colorado folks about this…..

And we have these very important stories……….
Drunk Driving has been a problem in New Mexico for years……now their is a movement to legalize marijuana in the state! All we need in this state is pot heads driving! The Democrats want the cash. Pray for New Mexico that such extreme dysfunction ends!
SafeWise has released a new report identifying New Mexico as the state with the fourth highest rate of impaired driving fatalities in the U.S. Our analysis used the most recent data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to rank the states with the highest and lowest rates of impaired driving deaths in the nation.
Given your state’s ranking in the report, SafeWise will be offering free Lyft rides to NM residents on New Year’s Eve. This is a part of our SafeWise for Safe Rides Home initiative, which aims to provide safe, sober rides in high-risk states over major holiday weekends.

Please be in prayer with us over this situation.
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in. Matthew 25:35
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Ephesians 6:18
The ABQ Journal is reporting that New Mexico has had an uptick in homelessness, and it’s at the top nationally when it comes to the percentage of people experiencing chronic homelessness. The statistics made public Monday were part of an annual assessment prepared by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Late Monday, NM state Rep. Joanne Ferrary, (D-Las Cruces) filed HB-51 which would repeal a New Mexico abortion statute, leaving loopholes in the state law allowing for the continuation of elective abortion up to the date of birth.
Due to pro-abortion legislators blocking common sense protections for women and unborn children from the abortion industry, NM has become a destination for women seeking dangerous late-term abortions which are legal up to birth–for any reason. A handful of these “progressive” legislators, even voted against protecting babies born alive during abortions.
Since 2013 when New Mexico Alliance for Life was founded by our Executive Director, Elisa Martinez, we provided draft legislation, expert witness testimony and research for the pro-life issues brought before the Legislature. Each year we have highlighted the medical research that shows abortions performed after 21 weeks carry an 89 times greater risk of death than those performed in the first trimester. Yet Rep. Ferrary’s bill does nothing to protect women from unsafe abortions after 5 months. (Read more below about what you can do to fight back).
“Currently abortions are being performed in unregulated outpatient clinics up to the very moment of birth, yet this bill does nothing to address this unsafe practice,” said House Minority Whip Rod Montoya.
“This legislation also fails to protect underage girls who are taken in for an abortion without their parent’s knowledge. Instead it protects sexual predators from being found out and prosecuted.”
Ferrary previously proposed the politically-charged bill in 2017, but the measure failed in an NM House Committee. Governor-elect Michelle Lujan Grisham, who has voted against limiting abortion after 5 months while in Congress, has stated she would sign the measure.
Will you consider partnering with NMAFL so we can fight this irresponsible and extreme measure in Santa Fe? Make a secure, online donation today to help us defeat this dangerous bill before it becomes state law. Or send a check or money order to us at: 1208 San Pedro Dr NE, # 122, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE…
“The special interest groups behind HB 51 are deceiving the public by claiming the bill would provide ‘access to safe abortions,’ despite consensus in the medical community that abortions after five months are exponentially unsafe for women, as it is inhumane for children,” said Elisa Martinez. “The Democrat sponsors of this bill must explain to the public why they are willing to risk women’s lives over special interests.”
If Ferrary’s dangerous repeal bill is passed and signed by Governor-elect Michelle Lujan Grisham, New Mexico women and children’s lives are at risk. Please stay tuned as NMAFL will release a full analysis of the many dangerous implications of this extreme attack on women and childrens’ lives.
