I am very thankful for the leadership of Mayor Keller has brought to the city of Albuquerque! It is such a blessing to see such progress, especially on the crime front. It makes me wonder what the previous administration did? Mayor Keller said he would add Police Officers and he has, and continues to do so! The previous folks who held offices in City hall talked a lot, but no action. What Mayor Keller is proving is that good leadership equals results. I have said many times I also love the Mayor’s hire of Police Chief Mike Geier. Great team!
The other key point thus far with Mayor Keller is, he is bringing people together from all walks of life and making great progress. At the start, he was dealt a big lump of coal by the previous administration, huge deficit, an understaffed Police force, a horrible ART project on Central that remains broken because of the dysfunction of the past administration and on and on I could go.
I feel that Mayor Berry, his ART PROJECT FAILURE and City Council should be held responsible for all the tax dollars wasted on the ART project, it is only fair that they help pay back the city for the mess they made. Most will say, “That is a crazy thing to say Dewey, it will never happen.” I say it should happen, people need to be held responsible. So many bushiness were hurt by ART, some closed.
Mayor Keller’s heart for the homeless also is something I am very thankful for.
Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter– when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? Isaiah 58:7
Keller is creating cohesiveness in the City, where as before we had polarization.
