With a New Year, many look to start a fresh. Resolutions are made, that are soon broken. Plans to start something new don’t always seem to continue. However, there is always something about a New Year that people feel that they can do something different.

How about we make plans to stay in The Word of God this year, seek Him daily and go out and share what we learn? This is a great plan for our New Year to be able to grow with Him. Our Hope and Desire should be, as Believers, to learn more and more about Our God who Loves us.

Lord, we dedicate this year to you.

We will learn to Seek You daily. We will learn more of Your Love for us. We will set our lives to be wholly devoted to You. We will share of what we learn with others so that the will learn of You.

To do this, we will praise You with our whole hearts. Before the gods, that we try to put before You, we will sing praises to You. We have learned that singing praises to You, it helps our hearts to focus more of what You do for us. We will praise You in the morning and the evening. We will praise You even when we are hurting because You bring us through the dark times.

We will worship toward Your holy temple, and praise Your name For Your loving-kindness and Your truth. You always bring Truth into our lives, so that we learn to discern when the enemy is trying to tempt us to walk astray from You. Your Word is Truth, and we will not falter from it. For You have magnified Your word above all Your name. We know that what You speak will not lead us asunder but will instead lead us closer to You.

In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul. You bring Strength into our lives. You bring Hope into our lives. You show us how You work in all situations that we deal with. We will learn to call out to You even when things seem to be going good for us.

All the kings of the earth shall praise You, O Lord, When they hear the words of Your mouth. They will not be able to deny Who You are. You are The Lord Who provides for our needs. You are The One Who directs our footsteps. They will know You and will shout because of the Victory You have brought. Yes, they shall sing of the ways of the Lord, For great is the glory of the Lord. They will not be able to deny Your Glory oh Lord.

Though the Lord is on high, yet He regards the lowly. You never discount us if we are not in a position of power. You don’t hold us to the same accolades as men do. Instead, You have said You will raise the humble. We want to remain humble, in Your Sight Lord, so that we remember it is You who is Working in our lives. But the proud He knows from afar. You have said that those who puff themselves up will be humbled. It is because they are not seeking You to see Your work, instead, they are trying to seek honor for themselves.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me. There is nothing that You cannot handle. You will stretch out Your hand Against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me. We will remember that no matter what happens, You will be there with us.

The Lord will perfect that which concerns me. Let our concerns be what You truly want for us to be concerned about. Your mercy, O Lord, endures forever. We want to be in Your mercy continuously. We know that without it, we cannot be who You want us to be.

Do not forsake the works of Your hands. The works You have done, has saved us from our sins. Thank You for Loving us. Thank You for saving us. Thank You for guiding us.(Taken From Psalm 138:1-8)

In Jesus Name, Amen.

If we are to please God, we need to allow The Holy Spirit to set us apart. We need to pursue a sinless life. We are to seek Righteousness. How do we do it? Through prayer, study, fellowship, being willing to be corrected/accountability, discipleship, and service.

It starts with Our Relationship with Jesus. If you don’t have a Relationship with Him or you need to rekindle that Relationship, do it now. Call out to Him and seek his Love and Forgiveness. It really is as hard or easy as you make it.

We should look to Him daily to seek a relationship with Him. I want to encourage you to seek Him today, if you haven’t already. If you need help, have questions or need direction in this regard, please, feel free to let me know.

Maybe today you are struggling with something. Maybe you may have found yourself not as close to The Lord as you thought. We would like to help you in this through prayer and guidance.
