BREAKING: Radical Abortion Bill Passes Out of Committee on Party Line Vote

Over one hundred people filled the capitol to testify against HB-51
Santa Fe, NM — On a party line vote of vote of 3-2, House Bill 51 passed out of Committee. Democratic Representatives Elizabeth “Liz” Thomson, Andrea Romero, and Angelica Rubio voted in favor of the bill. Republican Representatives Candy Spence Ezzell and Gregg Schmedes opposed the measure.
“The Committee’s willingness to pass this careless bill without consideration of amendments to limit abortion up to birth after 5 months, and other concerns most New Mexicans have is a disgrace,” said NMAFL Executive Director Elisa Martinez. “Forcing doctors to participate in abortions up to birth is the stated goal of proponents behind this bill and New Mexicans must rise up against this radical bill,” she continued.Over 100 concerned New Mexicans testified against House Bill 51, the most dangerous abortion-up-to birth bill in the nation, including Tina Atkins, the mother of late-term abortion victim Keisha Atkins:

“How can anyone sit here and tell me that HB-51 will grant access to safe abortions when my daughter is dead from an abortion,” Atkins asked. “It is widely published in medical journals that after 5 months of pregnancy, a woman has an 89 times greater risk of death than earlier abortions.

When asked how the conscience protections of doctors and medical professionals would be affected by the bill, the sponsors could not provide affirmative assurances in the law. Representative Gregg Schmedes asked if the sponsors were open to amending the bill to limit late-term abortions, but they flatly declined.

Last week, New Mexico Alliance for Life released a survey that a vast majority of New Mexicans support abortion protections. 45.8% of respondents self-identified as pro-choice with 44.4% pro-life.  72.4% (610 respondents) oppose doctors, nurses, or hospitals being forced to participate in abortions. Over 67.1% (566 respondents) believe a parent should be involved in a minor daughter’s decision, 69.8% (or 588 respondents) support a ban on abortion after 5 months, and 62.4% (526 respondents) oppose taxpayer funding of abortion.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14

Galatians 5:19-21

Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

A dark cloud of death is hanging over America….Why have we allowed our country to kill babies? I do not recognize my country any longer, it no longer stands for life.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14 God is not happy with us. Abortions, Assisted suicide laws, legalization of marijuana and other ungodly things. How come America does not value life?
The Church could have done a much better job years and years ago in standing in the gap for God and His babies. Where is the Church now? How many pastors preach against abortion from the pulpit? I have been told I preach to much on abortion! Chuck Colson said years ago, “The American church has turned into a high school pep rally.” Americans love to have their ears tickled!

Francis Shaeffer said, “Every abortion clinic should have a sign in front of it saying, “Open by the permission of the church.”

I wanted to share this impactful quote by Francis Shaeffer. If you are not familiar with his works click here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wik
