Thank you Connie Keyohara for another heart warming post…..
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. James 5:16
We know from Scripture that God can turn the hearts of kings. That means that we should be praying for our leaders to seek God and hear Him. To lead us to godly places. We should pray that they would be surrounded by godly counsel and for discernment, most important, that our leadership would personally Know God.
It doesn’t matter what side of the aisle we’re on, we can all agree that we should be praying for all in leadership.
I Timothy 2:1-2 – I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. It’s a mandate from God that we do this.
The Apostle Paul urged us to pray for our leaders. We can pray that no legislation would be passed or decisions made that would harm our babies. We can also ask God to protect the safety of our homeland especially for the sake of our families.
All those in leadership can benefit from our prayers. When we pray for any of our leaders, we can ask God to grant them direction, discernment, and wisdom. -If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1:5
So today, I urge you to pray for those in authority because it effects us as well.
Many Blessings,
