Years ago as I was sitting in a hospital room awaiting a blood transfusion, I was praying and seeking God because I was fearful of what the days events would bring.
I waited and prayed and was not sure I wanted to go through this ordeal. As God began to give me a peace about it, I remembered that He holds my future in his hands. He knew what was going to transpire long before I did.
When it’s sickness in the body, its hard to believe God has a plan or that he’s in control. Sometime we don’t have all the answers to life’s problems, and sometimes we don’t understand. One thing we should remember for sure is that God does care, He is in control and He will never leave us or forsake us.
During my 2 transfusions and after they were competed, I felt his presence and my fear quickly left. The key was trusting Him even when I didn’t feel his presence.
This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s [for] you will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you [and] do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’”- 2 Chronicles 20:15, 17-18
