A Child’s Prayer Journal…

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Yesterday as I was caring for my grandchildren, my granddaughter picked up her prayer journal and scribbled a few things in it. She almost three now will say, momma, daddee, brofer, Lillian when she writes in it. When she stays overnight, she usually will write first thing in the morning, as I do. Yesterday was different, she came after my writing time. She was playing with her toys and stopped right up and went to get her journal and scribbled in it and put it back. I noticed she had gotten this little tin prayer box out of my kitchen drawer and had it with her toys. I didn’t think much of it. My sister had given it to me years ago. I used up all the paper that was in the prayer box and had put it in the drawer.

Yesterday, Maisie’s dad was in an accident. His SUV and a plow truck hit head on. Please continue to pray for him. (Joshua) I thought a lot about the timing from when Maisie picked up her prayer journal and penned yesterday. I thought about the prayer box she took out of the drawer and put with her toys. I must admit I forgot about the prayer box and it being in there for the past few years. It was 15 to 20 minutes before we received the call from her mother about the accident. When he came to kiss her good night, I think he realized how fortunate he was. Thank God He hears the prayers of His children.

This morning I go to retrieve the prayer box from her toys to see if she put anything in it. It was empty, but this is what the inside cover reads. When your head starts to worry and your mind just can’t rest, put your prayers down on paper and let God do the rest.

Oh, the joy of children. Let’s Pray:

Father, thank you for the gift of children. Their lives and spirits are so innocent and pure. It reminds me of the prophetic words spoken over my own life by children. I will never forget that meeting in Augusta, Maine and because of them, I became a pro life speaker.

Father, thank you for hearing the prayers of children. Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. (Psalm 127:3-5) Amen

Have a blessed day God’s beautiful people. Bless a child today.
