How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? – Romans 10:14
Our vision has been but a very tiny, tiny extension of what was started at Faith Comes By Hearing many years ago by Jerry and Anet Jackson and joined by sons Morgan and Clay right here in Albuquerque. Our personal post-pastoral activity with this outstanding worldwide ministry began about a year ago, soon after we took a tour of the ministry and seeing its huge outreach and potential for our possible involvement in southwest Nigeria.
But we soon found out it takes more than a vision to help penetrate the darkness. It takes trusted support contacts on the ground here like Victor (see above) at UPS along with his co-workers, Pauline and Ashelle. They all have been so helpful in showing us how to ship Proclaimers safely into a country 7200 miles away. There’s paperwork, packing, invoices, taxes, duties and help in maneuvering in international waters that sometimes are like a cornfield maze.
But guess what? At the end of the day every one of the 23 Proclaimers we have shipped have or are currently making their way to their proper destination to be used in remote villages by faithful evangelists. Many will hear the Gospel for the first time in their own languages. As they say in Nigeria, “God is good, all the time! And all the time, God is good!”
