The Albuquerque Journal is reporting this morning on the 2019 New Mexico Legislative session. The Journal quotes House Speaker Brian Egolf D-Santa Fe saying, “We’ve done more in the last 60 days than I’ve seen in the last 10 years put together.”

Well, I do know this, more legislation is not always better!

Thank you LORD that HB 51 was defeated and also the assisted suicide bill and legalized pot bill went down in defeat!

What do all those approved bills mean for the average citizen like you and me? ABQ Journal Report

Thank you Ethel Maharg for this report!

Hello Everyone,
The words of Senator Ramos
“How can we protect coyotes, frogs, prairie dogs, chickens, but not the beating heart of a baby in a woman’s womb”? – Senator Gabriel Ramos on HB-51
After listening to Senator Ortiz Y Pino go on about how it was his Catholic faith that compelled him to support the bill, comes the voice of reason refuting his claims. He said he too is Catholic and disagreed with Senator Ortiz Y Pino. He then went on to make his compelling speech along with his NO vote, that I believe gave the other Senators the courage to follow suite.
Please send him a special note of thanks. Yes, snail mail. Everyone loves getting some.

Below is contact information for all those who voted NO on HB 51. This includes the Democrats who crossed party lines, and the Republicans who were always with us. They are all heroes in our book.
Thank you so much for all you do for the cause of life.
God bless you,
Ethel Maharg
