Say ‘Thank You’ to Pro-Life New Mexico Senators

As we celebrate what many are calling a “stunning” victory,in the New Mexico Senate’s defeat of abortion up-to-birth bill, HB 51, we want to thank all those who helped, especially the Democrat Senators listed below. Although this is a tremendous victory, this bill did not stop the “status quo” of abortion up-to-birth in our state. New Mexico is STILL the late-term abortion capital of the nation, if not free world. NM Alliance for Life’s worked on legislation, namely HB 600, the Keisha Atkins Women’s Health and Safety Act that would have put in place a late-term ban, parental notification and reporting requirements. This bill was voted down in a House Committee. Until our state gets serious about enacting pro-life legislation, and building a culture of life, abortion up-to-birth remains the status quo.

UPDATE: WE WILL ALSO PUT OUT A FULL LIST OF EVERY LEGISLATOR WHO VOTED FOR INFANTCIDE AND ABORTION UP TO BIRTH.

Here’s what you can do today:

1) Contact the Senators listed below and thank them.

2) Get involved in a 40 Days for Life Campaign in your area.

3) Volunteer with a crisis pregnancy center in your area.

4) Contact us if you’re interested in passing a “sanctuary for the unborn” resolution in your city or county. Lea County, Hidalgo County and the City of Roswell have passed similar resolutions already!

5) Stay informed- we will have more information forthcoming on what you can do to start fighting abortion extremisim in our state.

6) Support a pro-life organization like NMAFL with a financial gift today.

We are grateful for all the New Mexico senators that voted against HB-51, and defended Life. Please make sure and thank them personally, especially since abortion lobby groups are already going after them, claiming to “primary” them this next election. Let them know, as long as they vote pro-life, we stand with them and support them!
