Lord, let Your word be a seed in our lives.
We know that those who go by the wayside are the ones who hear Your Word. It seems that the devil comes and takes away Your Word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. We are praying that more and more do not go by the wayside but instead, find their way to fertile ground. Then there are the ones who are planted on rock. We know that these who, when they hear, receive the word with joy, it even seems like they are getting an understanding of Your Love. Unfortunately, they have no root, they believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. We are asking for wisdom to help them to get off the rock, that is not fertile, and lead them to fertile ground as well. You tell us that there are the ones that fell among thorns. They are ones who also seem to be encouraged by Your Word. They are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity. They don’t seem to be grounded either and we hope You can use us to get away from the thorns that choke them. We want to continue to be the ones that fall on the good ground. We want to Grow in Your Word. W want to be those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience. As we Grow, we want to be able to Help others to Grow as well. We know that it is because You planted, watered, feed, and weeded us.
