After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands. And they were shouting with a great roar, “Salvation comes from our God who sits on the throne and from the Lamb!” – Revelation 7:9-10.
Chances are you’ve never heard of most of the 567 languages spoken in Nigeria, except for English. Yes, they do speak English in the majority of the country but the big exceptions are the thousands of people in the remote and hard to reach rural villages outside of the big cities. Not everybody in those tribal areas are able to read. So, when they are able to hear the Word of God in their own language, it’s like God speaking to them directly and that brings a lot of changes.
Our ministry sends portable audio digital players known as Proclaimers into those areas, that are preloaded with the complete New Testament in the many different local native languages and dialects. In partnership with Faith Comes By Hearing we provide them free of charge to local pastors, evangelists and other ministry leaders who live and work in those areas. The Proclaimer has proven to be a valuable resource to help reach and disciple large groups with the gospel. The response and results have been amazing.
The need in Nigeria is great but our God is greater than the greatest need. Thank you for your prayers. Maranatha!
