Thought For The Day, “Reflect”, Men’s Daily Devotion

Thought of the day:

“No one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a secret place or under a  basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in may see the light. The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is  good, your whole body also is full of light. But when your eye is  bad, your body also is full of darkness. Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light.” Reference Luke 11:33-36 NKJV

Isn’t interesting that Jesus said that your eyes will either show light, The Light that comes from Him, or darkness, the darkness that comes from not following Him? If we are truly following Him, as it is implied here, every action, every thought, every word, will reflect that.

What are you reflecting today?

If we are to please God, we need to allow The Holy Spirit to set us apart. We need to pursue a sinless life. We are to seek Righteousness. How do we do it? Through prayer, study, fellowship, being willing to be corrected/accountability, discipleship, and service.  

It starts with Our Relationship with Jesus. If you don’t have a Relationship with Him or you need to rekindle that Relationship, do it now. Call out to Him and seek his Love and Forgiveness. It really is as hard or easy as you make it. We should look to Him daily to seek a relationship with Him. I want to encourage you to seek Him today, if you haven’t already.
