Thought of the day:
You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, For in Yah, the Lord , is everlasting strength. Reference Isaiah 26:3-4 NKJV
As we continue in the Spiritual Battle before us, we start to have compassion for those around us. A lot of times, that compassion can lead to having “Battle Fatigue”. This term used to be used for what is called PTSD now but, I am talking about a fatigue we get when we are in the midst, not necessarily being traumatized.
The following is a list of what fatigue symptoms look like:
chronic tiredness or sleepiness, headache, dizziness, sore or aching muscles, muscle weakness, slowed reflexes and responses, impaired decision-making and judgement, moodiness, such as irritability, impaired hand-to-eye coordination, appetite loss, reduced immune system function, blurry vision, short-term memory problems, poor concentration, hallucinations, reduced ability to pay attention to the situation at hand, low motivation.
In looking at what Isaiah is saying here, and in other areas of Scripture, we can remember that Our Lord is Who gives us Strength. We can remember , that we can be refreshed in Him. We can remember that we don’t have to be fatigued because, it is Him Who does it through us.
Today, take a review of how you’re feeling and see if you’re fatigued. Ask yourself what you need to do to get that refreshed feeling from The Lord. Set a plan and put it into action, so that you’re no longer fatigued. He wants us to lean on Him in all areas.
Remember, Jesus said to place ALL our burdens on Him.
