Thought of the day:
Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. Reference 1 Corinthians NKJV
Here Paul was talking to the people in the church about checking their motives about why they are doing whatever ministry they are doing. He basically said that there needs to be a heart check. Is the work being done truly for The Lord’s Work or is it in vain where people can look good.
On the flip side, he is also talking about a heart check about whether or not we’re participating in His Work. To say that we have been redeemed and not show it in our action is just hearsay. James even told us that faith without works is dead (James 2:14-26)
So, we need to ask ourselves about where are we in our daily walks. We need to do a heart check and ask if we are doing things to look good or for His Glory. We also need to ask ourselves if we are even involved with His Work, are we showing that He truly has done a Work in us.
Is your actions/work reflecting what He has done in your life?
If we are to please God, we need to allow The Holy Spirit to set us apart. We need to pursue a sinless life. We are to seek Righteousness. How do we do it? Through prayer, study, fellowship, being willing to be corrected/accountability, discipleship, and service.
It starts with Our Relationship with Jesus. If you don’t have a Relationship with Him or you need to rekindle that Relationship, do it now. Call out to Him and seek his Love and Forgiveness. It really is as hard or easy as you make it. We should look to Him daily to seek a relationship with Him. I want to encourage you to seek Him today, if you haven’t already.
If you need help, have questions or need direction in this regard, please, feel free to let me know. Maybe today you are struggling with something. Maybe you may have found yourself not as close to The Lord as you thought. We would like to help you in this through prayer and guidance.
