One of my favorite verses in the Bible is Proverbs 16:24…….Kind words are like honey— sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.
If more of us fulfilled this verse we would have a better world. Way too much nasty is going on in America, such a poor example for our children.
Affirmation is so very important to encouraging people to go on. Do you speak life into others? Do you affirm or discourage?
Is the Lord Jesus Christ the Lord of your lips? What comes you of your mouth?
Yesterday I was blessed to give the Father’s Day message at FBC in Reserve and the congregation gave me a wonderful book with a note inside which I have posted here. It is words like this that help keep me going. I love the folks in Reserve, I have made friends though out the whole town. I have been traveling to Reserve now for almost 7 years.
This past Saturday I was able to do the yard work for a widow who is going through such a tough stretch. Kathy’s husband passed away over 2 years ago, she is facing surgery and this past week two of her dogs passed away.
Here is what Kathy texted me…..”You give me a give me a glimmer of hope that God may still remember me, Thank you.”
Our hope is in Jesus!
People need people, people need love and hope and words of life spoken into them. People need you to help them see Jesus. You can do this by showing them the character
of our Lord.
The other day I prayed over a man at the nursing home in Belen, NM and he cried and cried….he was so touched by the love and hope of Jesus…please pray for Emmanuel, he never gets a visitor.
People need the love of Jesus.
My life verse:
“But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.” -Acts 20:24
I go forth only for the glory of God.
