BEHAVE!

Titus 2:7

Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity,

1 Timothy 4:12

Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

1 Corinthians 11:1

Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.

What we do need is leaders in this state to stop their drinking and behaving badly and thinking they are above the law! Remember Governor Martinez’s pizza party????? State Senator Richard Martinez is one who appears to think he is above the law after being arrested for drunk driving! We need role models!

Video of Senator Richard Martinez pleading with Police

This makes the push to legalize marijuana by the Governor even more serious, we cannot have pot heads stoned to the hills driving in this state, drunk driving is enough of a big problem in New Mexico! Another thing that bothers me greatly is that Martinez seems not to care about the people injured in the accident! ENOUGH NEW MEXICO! If you want to be a great state…act like one!

We are praying for Senator Martinez and those involved in the accident. Lord we pray for healing for all! In Jesus name, Amen!

From my post of May 2018………..

This story makes me so very sad. We have state lawmaker Rep. Monica Youngblood who has been charged with aggravated DWI. She is not talking to the media or her constituents as far as I know. I pray that she comes forth and says he is sorry and explains herself.

We all have to be good examples, we all will slip up sometime, but then we have to repent, seek forgiveness and communicate, in this case, with the voters. We have to face the heat, pay the consequences.

We are praying for Rep. Youngblood, for peace, comfort and for the right words to speak, in Jesus name, Amen.

When I have visited the State Capitol, The Roundhouse, I have met her.

I talked with Albuquerque Chief of Police Mike Geier this week about the frustration of the courts releasing offenders quickly from jail. It is very frustrating for him and his officers and for us citizens, this must stop!

Drinking and driving in New Mexico has killed so many innocent people. So many families have been destroyed. I have addressed this issue since I moved here in 1995. I have interviewed many folks who have lost loved ones through a drunk driving wreck.

Please speak to us Rep. Youngblood, so we know how we can help you and how to pray for you.

ABQ Journal Report

From Adrian Rogers:

Edmund Burke wrote, “All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.” When it comes to the political scene and government, some believers have dropped out altogether. They have the idea that if you get involved in government, somehow that is the “social gospel.” So they’ve just hunkered down, trying to “hold on till Jesus gets here.” They see the political scene as being dirty and worldly. And some have been intimidated by the great debate between church and state.

We can’t drop out. It’s impossible to think God would have ordained government, then told His people to stay out. Who else does that leave to run things?

Others with misguided zeal have tried to bring in the kingdom of God by political machinations. That cannot be done either. So where do we get the answers? We’re not going to get the answers today from the politician who may have his personal ax to grind or from the ungodly and the humanists who don’t believe the Word of God, or from arrogant philosophers who don’t know the Word of God. The only place we’re going to get the answers, I believe, is from the Word of God.

ACTION POINT:

We need to confess and turn from our wicked ways. We need to speak up and stand up for what is right. Let your speech be seasoned with salt. But stand up, speak up, and come out from under the rock. Stand on The Rock and speak up for the Lord Jesus Christ.
