This post by Sister Connie Keyohara will surely help start your day off right!!! God Bless you and yours Connie!

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

When my alarm goes off at 5:00 am, my mind is usually flooded with things that I really don’t need to worry about. Worries can often come rushing in before we can even open our eyes. Maybe it’s a struggling relationship, some conflict at work, your finances or that sin you can’t seem to forget. And all the while that feeling that we won’t find the strength to make it any better than yesterday.

God’s mercy is like a light breaking through the darkness and overcomes our troubles. Every single “new” morning demonstrates His mercy and grace. When the sun shines upon us, we should remember that it’s a new beginning. The mercies of God follow us to tomorrow.

His mercies are still new every morning.  No matter how big a mess we made yesterday, today is a brand new day.  1 John 1:9 says all we have to do is ask and His forgiveness wipes the slate clean again.

Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Psalm 30:5

The Message puts it this way, which I love.   —The nights of crying your eyes out give way to days of laughter.

We can always be sure that tomorrow is a new day, a fresh start. The sun will be shining and what seemed so bad, now doesn’t feel so rough. I’m not suggesting that if you go to bed sad it will always be better tomorrow, but the morning can bring with it a fresh perspective to things. Rest can gives us peace and understanding that maybe we lacked the day before.

But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, which shines brighter and brighter until full day. Proverbs 4:18

You see, at some point we all face troubles, and sometimes those troubles can be unbearable. The joy that comes in the morning is simply God’s gift to us. Usually, you’ll feel better in the morning after an evening of despair. In many cases it may have been rest you were needing.

But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. Psalm 59:16

My prayer for you today is that God’s Mercies Would fall fresh on you.

Many blessings,

Connie Keyohara
