Social media platform giant Facebook has decided it’s going to protect the “civil rights” of its users by guarding against “harmful content” — including what it deems “misinformation” related to the 2020 census and presidential election. In a public statement released recently, Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg explains that after speaking with more than 90 civil rights organizations and “experts across the political spectrum and academics in race relations,” the company chose to ban content related to “white supremacy.” READ MORE
