Decrease For The Increase…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Every day is a blessing to behold. John 3:30 tells us He must increase, but I must decrease. Let it be so, oh God, let it be so.
It reminds me of a conference I attended with a friend at the Atlanta Dome many years ago now. I sensed the Holy Spirit tell me to fall on my face before him. He told me if I would stay low, he would exalt me. I would not have to do anything, just journey every day with him. I remember that meeting so vividly as I didn’t want to lay prostrate on that cement floor, in front of all those people. I thought that was odd, but I did it anyway. I pulled my jacket over my head and hit the floor in prayer. If I thought something was God leading me, I tried to be obedient. Sometimes I got it right, sometimes I got it wrong. I learned lessons each step of the way and I am thankful that God looks at the heart. Let’s ask him for the decrease together today:
Father, thank you for the decrease. Thank you for the increase. Father, make us sensitive to the Holy Spirit. We surrender our whole being to you, to you alone. Father, we want to know you in every dimension possible to mankind. You are not some far off distant God, you are closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24)
Father, one touch from you alone, changes everything. In your presence is fullness of joy. Thank you for fulfilling your Word in our lives. Anoint us wiith fresh oil. Amen
