Good Morning Beautiful People… Be Great Today
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. I was re-reading a quote by G.K. Chesterton this morning. There is a great man who makes every man feel small. But the really great man is the man who makes every man feel great. Isn’t that what Jesus does for us? His Word builds us up. his Word edifies us and we are told to encourage one another and build one another up. (1 Thessalonians 5:11) We have the power to help people believe in whom God created them to be. We are all original, designed by God’s handiwork. We all have faults, shortcomings and weaknesses, but because of His great love, he keeps working with us. His Word tells us he changes us from glory to glory. (2 Corinthians 3:18) Everybody can have a bright future with Christ. Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you for your great love for us. We want to be great for you. People can step on other people to get where they are going, let that never be us. Father, may we never forget how you change people, it is not us.
Father, thank you for giving us your heart for people. All the titles the world gives us, labels we wear shouldn’t change how we treat people. You tell us all about this in Matthew 25. Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you took me in, I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you visited me. Then the righteous will answer Him, Lord, when did we see you hungry and fed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and take you in, or naked and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?
And the King will reply, truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.
Father, make us great according to your Word. Amen
