Then Jeremiah came from Tophet, where the Lord had sent him to prophesy; and he stood in the court of the Lord’s house and said to all the people, “Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: ‘Behold, I will bring on this city and on all her towns all the doom that I have pronounced against it, because they have stiffened their necks that they might not hear My words.’ “ Jeremiah 19:14-15 NKJV
Jeremiah had a tough message to carry. He was obedient in bringing it, although, no one was receiving it. The message he had really was to give Israel one more opportunity to repent before they went into captivity. However, Israel still continued in their sins and found themselves in captivity. They tried to stop it from happening but, God was working on them to remove their iniquities.
We, as Followers Of Christ, have a tough message. We are sharing with others, the things that keeps us separate from Our Lord. He has expectations from us so that we become more Righteous and Holy. We are to share that with others.
We are in a time that many in the Church are trying to candy-coat His Message so that there will be many who come into their fellowships. The Word cannot be compromised, no matter how hard it is to deliver to someone. We essentially are taking on the responsibility of leading others astray if we don’t keep to The Truth.
Are we keeping to sharing The Truth? Are we focused on leading others in the right direction even when it’s hard? Is there something in our lives we need to change so that God will use us?
Today, ask Him to give you the Courage it takes to share His Word, even when it’s hard.
