Imaginations…
Good morning beautiful people. Sometimes the mind is programmed to think a certain way and we need to reprogram them a different way. As we meditate on what God says about a situation and not our own thought life, we gain strength. God’s Word tells us in 2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
When we hear news of something, immediately our minds kick in with thoughts. How we would handle a situation, how we would respond, what we would do. As we learn to put our thoughts aside and live according to the Word of God, we become stronger in our walk with him. This is how we begin to trust him as we see his faithfulness in every situation.
The enemy of our soul likes to play on our imaginations. He can make a mountain out of a molehill. We always need to keep our thought life strong. If we don’t keep the Word of God hidden in our hearts our lives may become filled with fears. An example would be if you didn’t pass your test the first time around, you may think you never will. That’s a lie. With more study and confidence you will be successful. Maybe that health condition, you think will never improve, will. Meditate on what Gods Word says and Let’s pray today about imaginations.
Father, your Word tells us in Philippians 4:8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.
Father, thank you that we can put our trust in you. Fear, worry, doubt is not our portion. Today, we cast down every imagination and enjoy the day to the fullest. For you have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7) Amen.
