Just You…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. This morning two of my grandchildren are visiting. This song came to mind this morning as Mr. Maddox just wanted to be held. He didn’t want his breakfast, he didn’t want his toys, he just wanted to be snuggled close as we rocked in the big overstuffed rocking chair. He waits anxiously for his sister to wake up and we frequently go to check. He is not looking for anything this morning but the assurance of love and safety. It’s the same with us as God’s children. There are times we just need to come and say God, we don’t want anything, we don’t need anything, we just want to be with you. We have no agendas but to open up our heart and be in your presence. Oh, God we just want more of you. Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you for your love and safety. Thank you that we can sit with you and be in your presence whenever we desire. You are always waiting and beckoning us to come and spend some time with you. It is in your presence every care of the world falls away as we learn to put all our trust in you.
Father, more than the many gifts you give us, more than the many blessings you have bestowed upon us, we desire more of just you. We want to drink this morning from your well that never runs dry. We want to be full to overflowing of your presence in our lives. We desire, we choose you over everything. Oh Jesus, we love you. Amen
