Raise A Hand?
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. Years ago, I said to a young man that I know, that I noticed when I went to a specific church they didn’t raise their hands during worship. I had to laugh as his reply really surprised me. He said Angel, what are you, still in kindergarten? It was never done in their church and he had no idea why someone would want to raise their hands like that. I still chuckle at his innocent response. Sometimes the things we do so naturally in worship is foreign to another, because they have never done it or it was never done that way in their place of worship.
Today, let’s raise a hand to God. Let’s tell him we give full surrender of our lives, full surrender of our wills and all that we are and everything we own, we surrender to him. Let’s do better than that, let’s raise both our hands in worship to God this morning. Whether we are at church or at home, he is worthy of all our praise. Amen? Are you with me? Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you for your love for mankind. We raise our hands this morning to you in full surrender. Father, we want nothing more than your perfect will. You make every crooked path straight. We worship you from the depths of our hearts.
Father, with lifted hands we give you thanksgiving, praise and honor. You are our God and we are your praising people. Amen
