Such a blessing on this chilly morning in New Mexico to have another posting from Sister Connie Keyohara! God Bless you Sister!
Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15
Usually when I’m writing a Devotional, it is something that I’ve experienced or maybe someone close to me has.
I find that we can use every day issues to help others. That’s been my experience anyway. Today is no different.
There are certain things in my life that I struggle with from time-to-time. Recently, I was struggling with something I absolutely hate. I do not struggle with this too often, but every 6-8 months it rears its ugly head.
So this last week was no different. It hit me on Friday and I began praying immediately. After failing, again. I began to really seek God. After all. Enough is enough!
Today I was led to scripture that might help. All of a sudden I realized that God had already spoken, He spoke when he inspired His Word.
Studying his Word is very important. You will find all answers to life’s questions. He covered every single issue and or sin. I have absolutely no excuse to continue on that path.
If we can spend an hour a day on social media, we can find 15 minuets to study. Read, search and seek Him out.
So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin. James 4:17
If you’re struggling with something that isn’t good, go straight to the Bible, do a study, get into your prayer closet. Keep trying.
The Bible remains the only source of divine revelation and power that can sustain and guide you in your walk with God.
So, whatever your addiction, sin or issue may be. Whether you think it’s bad or not, take it to God. He’ll help you. I promise!
Our sins are washed away and we are made clean because Christ gave His own body as a gift to God. He did this once for all time. Hebrews 10:10
My prayer for you today is that you’d study to show yourself approved and not be ashamed.
Sincerely,
