We are so super blessed by this post by Pastor Jude Sisneros!!! Thank you Pastor for another awesome message! Happy Thanksgiving and much love to you and Liv and family!
In my study this morning… FAILURE…….We have all experienced it at one time or another… I heard a quote one time that I read that said,”The only man who has never made a mistake, is a man that never does anything.” That is why there is so many books that are written today on how to be successful… Trouble is.. The Book has already been written and most don’t won’t to crack it open….The Bible.. Because the Bible teaches a different kind of successfulness.. it teaches us to be successful in Christ.. The world will measure success according to what you got!!! It teaches us that if you got nothing… You are nothing… The failures that most Men of the Bible experienced helped them to be the most successful… because they learned by their failures .. How is that you may ask? Because sometimes you learn more by WHAT NOT TO do, than what to do.. It was in the recovery from failure that Paul was used in mightier ways… The strength came from confession and repentance..The manner in which a leader meets his own failures, will be the results of the effect he will make in the future of his Ministry.. The results of the depth of his repentance, the wider the door becomes… Why? Because “ Where sin abounded, grace did much more abound.” But we have to stop trying to take Victory over our own sin, and realize that Victory has already been accomplished on the Cross!! We just have to accept that!!
The Bible teaches.. in Romans 8:35-39” Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? as it is written: “ for your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, Will be able to separate us from the love of God, that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
In closing… Don’t let the fear of failure paralyze you into playing the game of cover up.. Don’t listen to the voices of the enemy that can come through people that will try to convince you that if you fail you are worthless.. The enemy wants you to believe that because he wants to cheapen the cross. Sometimes God will engineer failure in us, before he can bring success through us.. Because God can use brokenness as a tool to rely only on Him.. Believe it or not..Heaven will be filled with many surprises.. Many successful Christians will be nobodies, and some who have experienced the wreckage of many failures, will be basking in the Joy of The Lord.. You might climb the ladders of success my friends.. But make sure it’s not leaning against the wrong wall… That is all..
