Philippians 3:8-9 Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For His sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with Him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with Himself depends on faith.
Mirrors are interesting. If you put your fingernail on a regular mirror, there is a gap. However, on a one way mirror there is no gap.
From one side of the one way mirror we see Jesus. He is looking in the other side and sees Himself with a shadow of us.
We are one. Paul said in Galatians 2:20 that it is no longer he who lives, but Christ in him. He saw himself in Jesus and didn’t consider the old guy, Saul.
If you don’t see yourself as He does, you won’t be able to live to your potential in Him.
In Numbers 13:30-33 we see how even some of our leaders don’t see themselves as He does. Twelve tribal leaders were sent to scope out the land of Canaan, which the Lord had told them He was giving to them.
They came back and ten of the twelve said there’s no way we can take that land. Two, Caleb and Joshua, believed what the Lord told them and tried to convince the others they could do what He said.
The ten said, “No way! They’re huge and we felt like grasshoppers.” These were leaders.
If you read further (14:4 and 10) they wanted to fire Moses, stone Caleb and Joshua and go back to Egypt.
In Judges 6:11-27 we read about Gideon. The angel of the Lord appeared to him and said, “Mighty hero, the LORD is with you.”
Gideon went on to say how he was from the weakest clan in the tribe of Manasseh, and the least in his entire family.
The angel commenced to tell Gideon what He wanted him to do. At first, Gideon said, “Me Lord? How can I?” He did end up believing the Lord and did what he was told.”
Beloved ones, don’t ever think you are insignificant or not valuable to Him…regardless of age.
Colossians 1:19 For God in all His fullness was pleased to live in Christ.
Colossians 1:27b And this is the secret; Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing His glory.
Colossians 2:9-10 For in Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
You’re full of Him! All He is and all He has is in you.
Mighty heroes and heroines…yes, you! Stand up and step out in faith.
2 Corinthians 3:16-18 But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord-who is the Spirit-makes us more and more like Him as we are changed into His glorious image.
Abba, thank You for completeing us and making us whole. Abba, help us to see ourselves as You do and Spirit, give us the courage to step out in faith to love and help all who come in our path. Give us wisdom and help us to see the hearts of the hurting. We believe You, Abba. We love You and we honor You forevermore. Amen and so be it.
