Happy Thanksgiving from our home to yours!
“What is one thing you know God blessed you with Today?
I asked this question at the dinner table last week, “What is one thing you know God blessed you with Today?” My husband, Robert Glenn, thought maybe 5 seconds and with no hesitation, “Timing. The Timing was perfect…God’s Timing is Perfect.” Have you noticed? Friends, this proved to be our strength over the next week … with much more concerning issues we have faced! God’s Timing is Perfect; and we trust Him with our life. Blessed beyond measure to trust in the Lord.
Blessed beyond measure to trust in the Lord.
Do you know this place with God you can go to Jesus, when ___? Thank God for Jesus, we do! And, we are here today to shout a Praise to God to stir up the living spirit of God in you that is of the Savior and Lord, Christ Jesus.
would you like to say a little prayer before you enter into Today’s Devotion?
We need Jesus; and God is THE Salvation to our souls, both now and forevermore! Thank you Jesus and our Praise to God, be the glory, for the life and Salvation that God has breathed into our souls.
Friends, would you like to say a little prayer before you enter into Today’s Devotion? Go ahead, we have the time. Perhaps your soul is troubled? Perplexed on every side? Crushed? Then, this devotion is for you today, because Jesus has come to save your soul from ___ (the things that are more than you can handle) Jesus has taken them all to the cross; and HE has OVERCOME!
This power of God with you that is only through and by Jesus, will / can and will … save your soul from the torments that a soul will feel in this world – NOTHING is beyond the HAND of God!
Need a word?
As 2 Corinthians Chapter 4 states that a soul can feel … Friends, in Christ Jesus, Verse 9 writes to us, “Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;”
Before that ? 2 Co 4, Verse 8 “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
Thank you Father for you are the God of ALL MERCY and the FATHER of all COMFORT!
“2 Co 4, vs 7, But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
As it is Written in Romans 8:38-39 King James Version,
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Gather Together (even here Today); and SET ASIDE TIME to Give thanks unto the Lord, for God is good all the time; and all the time God is good. Life begins with a personal relationship with God through and by Jesus. Then we begin to really learn about this life that Jesus died and rose again to give us.
there is purpose in Praise;
in Good and through difficulty…
there is purpose in Thanksgiving!
Yes, there is purpose in what you are going through. Holidays are unforgiving to how you might feel… The world won’t stop for you. BUT GOD is not OF the world. God is the Creator of the World; and God has SO LOVED the World, but the world is not saved yet. Believers are. Jesus actually come for those who need the Light of God to find there way to God through the darkness of their soul. Jesus is that Light, but the world has not known HIM … yet. Only God knows. And, God is God … and Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life that is with God.
Set aside time to Thank God and Praise Him … Let Jesus BE the shine – Jesus is the warmth OF your soul by His Light, so that you can shine for Him to the world. They will see; and notice Jesus in you!
I can testify! … just ask me!
“… Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God (2 Co 1:4, KJV).
Friends, yes, thanksgiving has been made a Holiday in this world. Yet, we have a choice to make our hearts glad in it; and rejoice in thanksgiving to God in every day,…
Need a word or two?
whom we will serve (God or __).
“…the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
Set this to be a time that you (personally and unconditionally) set aside your GIFT of TIME to give thanks to God. Jesus has said to us, Don’t let your heart be troubled, you believe in God, believe also in Jesus. Give thanks to God instead of glorifying your enemy, … could the god of our troubles be our self?.
Be blessed, because God has set before us this time to choose (life or death; and blessings or curses). Thanksgiving IS A TIME (in our hearts) to draw nearer to God (in our hearts), for we have known and believed in the love God has for us (in our hearts). God is love. Abide in love and you are abiding in God, and God in you (in our hearts).
This is the Day the Lord has made.
Today.
As long as God calls it Today.
What is this love, but Jesus. Get to know Jesus through and by the Holy Spirit of God. Read God’s Word; and Thank God for whom Jesus is to you … Then, let your light shine that the whole world can see who Jesus is to you … and all who will believe!
What would this Light look like in your life Today?
The intro was a two in one today :) Welcome to Today’s Devotion if you wish to continue on. We pray your heart is full of the happiness that is found in the Lord! With that, we wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving! … in Jesus Name, I pray. Holy Spirit you are welcome here; and to God be the glory.
Love in Christ,

Daily Devotion to God’s Holy Word.
Why Thanksgiving? By Karen Rowe
What is one thing you noticed THAT you KNOW God has blessed you? Past, Present, Future ~ what have you that you can Praise, worship and thank the Lord for?
Let’s look at Thanksgiving through the leadership of David.
O give thanks unto the Lord ; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.
1 Chronicles 16:34 KJV
Perhaps, David could ask us, What is Thanksgiving to you? And, can you hear him say, let me tell you what the Lord has done! Our response? Let us respond with Praise and Thanksgiving to God!
Sound!
When he had finished his sacrifices, David blessed the people in the name of the Lord . Then he gave to every man and woman in all Israel a loaf of bread, a cake of dates, and a cake of raisins.
1 Chronicles 16:2-3 NLT
Why Thanksgiving?
David well knew how much we need God; HOW much God has done, is doing and will do for us!
This is God! FOR, WITH, & KINGDOM COME IN us. David knew! God IS Salvation to our soul! David knew the God of Salvation! God breathed the breath of life into form, and made us a living soul!
Do you have faith? If you do, Praise the Lord with all you are! Let the whole world know that Jesus saved your soul!
Lord have mercy, this is thanks giving, that God 1st gave to us!
Today, touch LIFE exploding from inside your soul! LET your Praise to God and Thanksgiving pour out! Don’t be ashamed that some don’t get it … YET!
Be the Light! Be the Salt! Let the life and love of Jesus EXUDE from your soul! Let His mind, be your mind & your thoughts be to God’s Will! Let your emotions be His JOY and draw from His Strength!
How?
The Bible says, ENTER into his gates with thanksgiving, and INTO his courts with praise: BE thankful unto him, and BLESS HIS name.
Glory Hallelujah! Shout from the depths of your soul to God how grateful you are for Whom God is to you; and all God has done! Be glad to be alive and to be loved by God!
When times get tuff? Praise God! How? Tell God how thankful you are for the Promise He made and even in specific reference to the hurt or fear that is coming AT your soul.
Friends, when fear, frustration, comes AT you, Praise the Lord for Jesus whom lives in your soul!
Come & Behold Him!
Thank you for joining us today. I know I pray this is a blessing to you. We would love to hear from you!
From our home to yours; and from all of us at FGGAM, we wish you a very happy Thanksgiving!
Love in Christ,
Karen

8 Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.
9 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works.
10 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.
11 Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually.
12 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
13 O ye seed of Israel his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
14 He is the Lord our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
15 Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;
16 Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;
17 And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,
18 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;
19 When ye were but few, even a few, and strangers in it.
20 And when they went from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people;
21 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes,
22 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
23 Sing unto the Lord, all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation.
24 Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations.
25 For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods.
26 For all the gods of the people are idols: but the Lord made the heavens.
27 Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place.
28 Give unto the Lord, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength.
29 Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
30 Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.
31 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The Lord reigneth.
32 Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof: let the fields rejoice, and all that is therein.
33 Then shall the trees of the wood sing out at the presence of the Lord, because he cometh to judge the earth.
34 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.
35 And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us together, and deliver us from the heathen, that we may give thanks to thy holy name, and glory in thy praise.
36 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel for ever and ever. And all the people said, Amen, and praised the Lord.
