How Much Will You Give This Christmas?
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. I was talking with a friend recently about a church service I was in attendance, years ago. The visiting pastor asked for a raise of hands of who would go, go anywhere, do anything that God would ask of them. I remember that night and think about it often. God wanted all of my heart, not just some of it. He wanted to give me God assignments, visions, and prepare me for a ministry that would touch the world. I was in preparation for next steps and he wanted to know how much of my heart he really had. I soon discovered raising my hand was the easy part. It isn’t easy to leave the familiar behind and to trust that God himself would put together all the pieces to the puzzle, but I wouldn’t change a thing. I have had God given opportunities that make me shake my own head. People sometimes ask me how, how do I get to do this, or how did that door open. My response is always the same, it’s God.
Together this Christmas, let’s give him all of our hearts. Let’s raise our hand to our maker, amen? Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you drawing us close by your side. You look at the heart of man. 1 Samuel 16:7 tells us that the Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. Examine our hearts today, oh God.
Father, we give you all of our heart. (Tell him if that’s true). May you trust us with much in the days ahead, as we continue to put all our trust in you and not lean to our own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Father, give us assignments so much bigger than we could ever accomplish on our own as we share your heart with the world around us. Amen.
Have a blessed day God’s most beautiful people. This is the day the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24)
