Jesus Understands What It Means To Be Human, By Karen Rowe

The dreaded genealogies, with hard-to-pronounce names and no storyline (or so it seems). Yet behind the sometimes unfamiliar names, this text is jam-packed full of stories of how God worked through the messy lives of men and women.

This is the family Jesus entered, the world Jesus entered,
and when we’re honest, -it’s the world in which we all live –***embarrassingly glorious in the way God worked in and through these lives.

This Christmas, the Lord brought me to explore the world in which we all live & with a few points this season tends to overlook.
Whatever God allows in your life; He doesn’t want you to be right. He wants to make you right.
Friends, let it begin with me! Anyone feel a dire need to join? The family Jesus entered into was far from perfect. If we are honest the world Jesus entered is the world we all live – embarrassingly glorious in the way God worked in and through these lives in the Genealogy of Jesus, which proves God’s Grace!
This Christmas, I am encouraged to take time to notice God’s work within Matthew, so that we will also be more humbled / able to recognize God’s work within our own situations in our life. How about you?
I truly believe when we receive this we will never be the same! Invite the Holy Spirit to re-frame your past to see your future and to be full of Grace, truth and peace in each today! Only God can transform your soul from ashes to glory!
Friends, do you feel misunderstood? Do you just want to feel the warmth of being at one with your own soul? Then Friends, Jesus is the One who can help you rise up to receive all HE offers.
Here’s the deal. This is for all of us.
Someone is depressed. Feeling like an outcast. Perhaps even unforgivingly guilty from past sins or mistakes? Jesus is how both respond to Grace.
To love someone enough to help them see Grace is for the ungrateful and evil as well. See? Look at the Genealogy of Jesus! God hand picked people to show His love and mercy and grace and hope and divine divinity … people who were like the thorns pressed into the head of Jesus.
Twisted trees; broken people in the Genealogy of Jesus, the symmetry … and the asymmetry that God chose a people such as He did! JESUS was born into a genealogy of people to identify with sin in the very way He took on our sin & the sins of the world, in like manner as when the Soldier twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on his head (Jn 19:2)
The point is Hebrews 7:25, Jesus is able to save ANYONE who comes to Him!
Christmas is not about what is under the tree, but the people around the tree!
God is near.
Christmas is not about what’s under the tree, but what’s around the tree…people.
- God is near, not far.
- If God can save your soul, then surely, He can save you within whatever situation you are in today.
Jesus also knows what was needed…a savior…Jesus means Jehovah saves.
Immanuel is the method to bringing us Jesus … the savior.
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel (Isaiah 7:14 KJV).
“Not so bright or moral people in the genealogy of Jesus. Notable sinners, Cowards, power seekers, murders, prostitutes, pleasure seekers …like us.”
Jesus gets it. He is God with us … Immanuel … and He understands what it means to be human. A refugee, a political prisoner, a homeless man, an outcast, called names, despised, ridiculed, targeted, tempted, misunderstood.
Whatever God allows in your life,
He doesn’t want you to be right.
He wants to make you right.

When something comes, how do I respond? What does it reveal in my life?
Am I willing to receive it and let it be a catalyst to receiving the grace and love that God intends for me to receive?
Rather than being bitter over _____, code to faithfully serve. Waiting for the savior of your soul. When the savior comes, we rejoice!
This is how God put my study together today. I hope this is a blessing to you. Others are gifted to help us grow in our understanding, so that we can be more like Jesus and to God be the glory. We need each other and always remember, it takes a negative and a positive to see the evidence of the source (God) work the power (Light / Life / electricity) from the site of the switch (Jesus) to the display of the light (God with us). And to God be the glory – God is our Source and Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Jesus come for …
God for us.
God with us.
God in us.
