A question was asked in a group of church people: What or who is Jesus to you?
Some of the answers were: Lord, Husband, Friend, Savior, Comforter, and Strength.
The first thing I thought was, He’s my all in all.
All in all, to me, encompasses all of the above, and more, so much more.
If everyone I love in the natural were gone, there would be Him. He is my All in All, the One I go to for everything and the One who’s person and voice I could never live without.
I came to this place many years ago after a rough time. During this time He said, “I love you. You are Mine and I will help you.” I believed Him.
There was always Him, the delight of my heart. He always was and always is. Eternal Father…my Father. He’s never, ever let me down, nor will He let you down.
Jeremiah 2:2 “I remember how eager you were to please Me as a young bride long ago, how you loved Me and followed Me even through the barren wilderness.”
Hosea 6:6 I want you to show love, not offer sacrifices. I want you to know Me more than I want burnt offerings.
Then He said to me, “Tell Me how you love Me.”
My response:
Tell You how I love You? Sweet Lord, are there such words? Can the love I have in my heart for You ever be expressed to the magnitude that You envelope my heart? You are my God, my King, my Lover, my Refuge. I love You to the depths of the deepest ocean, the heights of the heavens. I love You with a joy that would leap from my breast were it not clothed in skin. I love You with a passion that is only ignited by Your holiness, worthiness, godliness. I love You, my God, with all that is in me, yet, there is more, always more love welling up in me for You. Can I express it, Lord? I have needed You for so long and You were always there waiting. I need You. I long for You. I love You. Each teardrop that falls splashes the overflow of my love for You. How I love You!
Psalm 73:23,24 and 26b You guide me with Your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny. Yet still I belong to You; You hold my right hand. But God remains the strength of my heart; He is mine forever.
My Father! Thank You, thank You, thank You for making a way to reconcile us to You through Your precious Son, Jesus Christ. Thank You that in knowing You, we come to know more of You. You are truly Most Wonderful! Praise You forever.
Merry Christmas and Happy Easter beloved ones, as He is born in you and resurrects you into His glorious image! Amen and so be it!
