We All Have An Appointment We Can’t Cancel, Are You Ready?

We are so blessed by the writings of Connie Keyohara! God Bless you and yours Sister!

This is a good time for us to meditate on our own mortality and make sure we’re ready and prepared to meet God. Scripture makes it perfectly clear, plus it’s also a wise move.

Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Psalm 90:12

Forgive those who’ve hurt you, let go of pettiness, tell your family and friends that you love them. Don’t hold grudges.

But if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Matthew 6:15

That is a very important scripture, it is a mandate from the Lord. It’s important to our eternal future that we forgive one another.

“To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.”

-Lewis B. Smedes

Hebrews 9:27 Say’s “It is appointed for man to die once and after this the judgment.

Death is appointed, and you are no exception. That’s one appointment you can’t cancel. You only die once, and death is not the end; it is your destiny’s door. It’s just the beginning.

The bottom line is this, when we get to the end of our life, all that’s going to matter is our relationship with God. What we did for him and with him.

We cannot take anything with us, except people.

It is extremely important, because we do not know when God is going to call us home, that we live a life that’s righteous before God.

Once he’s called us home, it’s too late to get right. It’s important you start now and that you’re ready!

That we forgive others, Forgive ourselves. That we let go of petty arguments. Stop trying to be right, or first, or the best, or the favorite. And to seek the Lord God, while he may be found.

It’s simple: Come clean with God asking his forgiveness for anything you’re doing that’s sin. He will forgive you and cleanse you. Next, if you’re holding onto pettiness or unforgiveness towards somebody else you should make it right, if possible.

That does not mean they were Right and you were wrong. All that means is that you’re not going to hang on to this junk and let it fester in your heart and keep you from your full relationship with God.

You can never see new things if you keep holding onto or nursing your hurt feelings. You will eventually miss out on God’s mercies that he has in store for you.

Hold your loved ones close, tell them you love them and make time for them. Forgive and move on.

Many Blessings,

Connie Keyohara
