Dorothy Marie Hofflander, 91, of Battle Lake, Minnesota formerly of Windom, Minnesota peacefully returned to her heavenly home on February 19, 2020 after a brief battle with cancer. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.
Dorothy taught Sunday School for many years and sang in the choir at the American Lutheran Church in Windom. Both Dorothy and her husband Bob, who passed away in 2007, taught school in Windom. I remember Dorothy helping students in the reading room at the Middle School when I was the custodian.
Dorothy’s oldest son, Jim was my classmate in Windom, class of 1974. We have stayed close over all these years. Jim has even visited me here in Albuquerque. I just talked to Jim by phone just a few minutes ago. He wanted to share this with his Windom friends:
“Thanks for your support, your love and prayers at this time. Windom will always be a special place in the hearts of my family.”
