We are so very blessed to have a message from Sister Connie Keyohara this morning! God Bless you Sister!
Nehemiah 8:10 says “The joy of the Lord is your strength.”
This means that during hard, difficult, crazy times, if you want joy, its going to come from your relationship with God, period.
When you have no joy, you have no strength, and that’s when Satan comes in and robs you of everything you have.
How do you get joy?
One way to experience joy is to focus on God. When we dwell on our own problems too long, or the things that rob of us our joy, we can’t focus on God.
We need to dwell on God’s goodness. What he’s done for you, and how much he loves you.
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Philippians 4:8
Joy is something only God can restore.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit.
Psalm 51:12
Joy is a fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:22) and if you’re lacking this fruit, you’ll need to make an effort to spend time in God’s presence. In his Word, and knowing Him well and cultivating the soil in your heart.
Light shines on the godly, and joy on those whose hearts are right.
PSALM 97:11
God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy to those who please him.
ECCLESIASTES 2:26
If you have sin in your life, unforgiveness, or hate, it will put a halt to your joy. But when you are walking with God and in his presence, your joy will be full.
Whenever I struggle to feel joyful, I choose to remember how God always provides for me. Time after time, day after day, I’ve seen God open doors, answer prayer, calm my spirit, place people in my life at the right moment with the right word.
Remember these things:
•Joy is the result of righteousness.
•Comparison is the thief of joy.
•We need to have an attitude of gratitude.
•We seek God first, and he does the rest.
Satan doesn’t stand a chance and has no power when joy is present. Remember:THE JOY OF THE LORD IS YOUR STRENGTH!
My prayer for you today, is that you would find the joy of the Lord.
Many Blessings,
Connie ❤️
