Tim Tebow Foundation Annual Night to Shine Prom for People with Special Needs Celebrates 6 Years
Jacksonville, FL (Monday, February 3, 2020): Friday, February 7, 2020, will mark the sixth anniversary of the Tim Tebow Foundation’s annual Night to Shine, an unforgettable prom night experience, centered on God’s love, for people with special needs, ages 14 and older. This one-night event, held the Friday before Valentine’s Day each year, has seen record growth with every passing year, and shows no sign of slowing down. Expected this year are over 115,000 guests with special needs, supported by 215,000 volunteers. Night to Shine 2020 will be held across all 50 US states and in 34 countries, with over 720 host churches from 36 denominations coming together for this special evening.
“Night to Shine is a night that brings people together,” foundation chairman Tim Tebow said. “Because God gave His best for us in His Son, we will do whatever it takes to make these Honored Guests feel worthy, special, and dearly loved by a God Who has an amazing plan for each of their lives.”
For the Honored Guests attending the evening, the night begins with a red carpet welcome, lined with friendly paparazzi cheering on the guests as they make their way inside and are treated to hair and makeup stations for the ladies, shoe-shining stations for the men, a catered dinner, party favors, fun activities including dancing and karaoke, and more…all leading up to the big moment when every single guest is crowned King or Queen of the prom.
As the sponsor of Night to Shine, the Tim Tebow Foundation ensures that every church is prepared to host the event through the help of the official 2020 Night to Shine Planning Manuel, the official Night to Shine Prom Kit, and personalized guidance and support from a foundation staff member. With a goal of seeing Night to Shine reach as many people with special needs as possible, the foundation also provides financial assistance to hundreds of churches worldwide.
