So Tell Me If This Sounds Familiar in Today’s World?

SO TELL ME IF THIS SOUNDS FAMILIAR IN TODAY’S WORLD !!! In 1 Kings Chapter 21 King Ahab was moping around the palace because he wanted a vineyard that was closest to his palace, and the owner of the vineyard named Naboth didn’t want to trade or sell his vineyard because it was an inheritance from his father, and was forbidden by God for him to do so.. So Jezebel the wife of Ahab saw him acting like a Weenie, moping around and not eating and she challenged him and took evil action.. Let’s begin in Verse 21:7-10… Jezebel his wife said, “ Is this how you act as a king of Israel? Get up and eat! Cheer up. I’ll get you the Vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite”. So she wrote letters in Ahab’s name, placed his Seal on them, and sent them to the elders and nobles who lived in Naboth’s city with him. In those letters she wrote: “ Proclaim a day of fasting and seat Naboth in a prominent place among the people. But seat two scoundrels opposite him and have them testify that he has cursed both God and King. Then take him out and stone him to death.” So they did that… and skipping down to Verse 1 Kings 21:14-16 “ Then they sent word to Jezebel: “Naboth has been stoned and is dead.” As soon as Jezebel heard that Naboth had been stoned to death, she said to Ahab, “Get up and take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite that he refused to sell you. He is no longer alive but dead. When Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, he got up and he went down to take possession of Naboths vineyard”…… My thoughts.. What a horrible scheme that was devised by Jezebel that appeared to be legal because she faked paperwork to get Land for her husband who is gutless. Back then it took two witnesses and that was required to establish guilt and a punishment for blasphemy which was death by stoning. Bottom line those who twist the law and legal procedures to get what they want today might use more sophisticated Ways, in how they go about it, but they are guilty of the same sin… Ahab didn’t even ask how Naboth died, he didn’t even question how, as long as he got his… And it took an evil women to lie and carry a vicious deed to take down an innocent man, all for the sake of power, personal gain, with no regards for the law. And they even brought two false witnesses to testify lies, to cause not only character assassination, but to put an innocent man to death … My God people can’t you see it!!! It happens today in our very government and yet we have the privilege of having a Bible to read and refuse to crack it open.. Our Bibles become nice ornaments on our living room tables, as decorations, when one could just open it and read and learn.. This story is for you and I to learn from .. History repeats itself because man repeats sin .. practices sin !! Lord let me walk in your ways… Let me not practice sin, but repent for my sins daily .. Let me continue to have the desire to pray for our nation.. And to pray that more will seek your face.. Amen.. That is all..
