Good morning beautiful people, good morning. I laughed so hard last evening with some friends. I know life isn’t easy at times for some of the people in that room, but when we can laugh, it sure is good medicine for the soul.
I recently had my hair done and it is much shorter than I usually wear it. I was telling them that I should be ok with it, because as a child my sister and I would go get our hair done and make fun of each other for days. We only went once or twice a year to the beauty parlor (tight budget) so the short monkey cut was what we ended up with. We had lots of laughs over that.
God’s Word tells us in Proverbs 17:22 A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. This morning as I reflect back on the memory, I still laugh.
Let’s Pray:
Father, thank you that the joy of the Lord is our strength. (Nehemiah 8:9) Fill our mouths with laughter today and our hearts with joy. You tell us weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning. (Psalm 30:5)
Father, for all that has endured a long difficult night season, bring joy back into their lives this morning, all across this globe we pray.
Father, thank you that our lives are in your hands. Lead us today by the power of your Holy Spirit. May the joy we carry be contagious and spread to others around us. Amen
