Don’t Be Tossed…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. My sister Jen used to sing this song over and over again, The Lighthouse. Her life was full of challenges, but she sure could bellow out the tunes of a few songs that kept us going. I often think about her and how she influenced my life. One Day At A Time and The Lighthouse were songs I remember her singing. There was no one like Vestal Goodman from The Happy Goodman’s, in her book.
How true it is, we take one day at a time looking for the storm to pass us by. Jesus, is our lighthouse and tells us not to be tossed to and fro. We can be secure as we put our trust in him, in him alone. He will see us through every storm.
Recently, I prayed with a friend that feared death. We declared life over her situation, and believe she has many years left. But even in death, there is no fear. Fear has torment and that’s not the life God has for us. As believers in Jesus, we don’t need to fear anything. Jesus, he is our lighthouse and we enjoy our lives one day at a time. Amen? Amen.

Father, thank you that you lead us by the power of your Holy Spirit. Your word is a lamp for our feet, a light on our path. (Psalm 119:105)
Father, you tell us not to be double minded. James 1:6 tells us when we ask, we must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
Father, thank you that you are bigger than any crisis, world issue or storm that is in our lives. When Jesus spoke to the people in John 8:12, he said, I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.
Father, thank you for being God of our lives. Steer our ship today as you are our lighthouse. Amen.
