God is Our Refuge our Shield and our Hope
Psalm 119:114 You are my refuge and my shield I have put my hope in your word
Refuge means God is with us, you need not to be afraid you can take comfort in being in God’s presence. By trusting in the promises of his word.
In life we face challenges everyday that may overwhelm us to the point of being discourage, afraid, feelings of hopelessness not knowing which direction life will brings us .
God is our refuge, he’s our comforter, He knows every detail in our lives all he requires is that we trust in him.
Psalm 112:6-7 Surely he will never be shaken. A righteous man will be remembered forever. He will have no fear of bad news his heart is steadfast trusting in the Lord.
Shield means protection against evil trusting in the Lord
protections.
Refuge and shield goes hand in hand. God comforts us when trusting in his word and his shield protects you.
Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God is flawless, he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
Hope is having of what God has promised and its strength is in his faithfulness
Hope is having confidence with expectation from God
Psalm 71:19-20 Your righteousness reaches to the skies, O God you who have done great things. Who O God is like you? Though you have made me see troubles many and bitter you will restore my life again from the depths of the earth.
Psalm 33:20 We wait in hope for the Lord he is our help and our shield 21 In him our hearts rejoice for we trust in his Holy name 22 May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord even as we put our hope in you.
Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield , my heart trusts in him and I am helped , My heart leaps for joy and I will give him thanks to him in song.
Psalm 84:11 For the Lord is a sun and shield the Lord bestows favor and honor, no good things does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. 12 O Lord Almighty blessed is the man who trusts in you.
Psalm 86:5 You are a forgiving and good O Lord, abounding in love to all who call to you 6 Hear my prayer, O Lord listen to my cry for mercy 7 In the day of trouble I will call to you for you will answer me.
You can be comforted by God’s promises he reassure us that he will protect us and give us strength as we trust in him and never to loose hope but to expect , for God is faithful and he will honor us with favor and blessings.
Psalm 5:3 In the morning, O Lord you hear my voice in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.
So no matter what we go through, give all to God ,he has this don’t give up on Him, he will fight for you he is able and willing no battle is to big for God he is our shield and refuge, He is our deliverer our strength our source.
Psalm 34:17 The righteous cry out and the Lord hears them he delivers them from all their troubles
Hebrews 13:5 never will I leave you , never will I forsake you.
Lord you are my hope, my refuge in times of trouble you surround me with songs of deliverance . My faith and my hope are completely in you setting you apart in my heart I will rejoice with thanksgiving and praise and give you honor for you have promised that you will never leave me nor forsake me , for you are my source and strength Amen
